Orthotics

We at Osteon pride ourselves on making state-of-the-art custom made orthotics in carbon fibre. This means that all our orthotics are made to last as they are super strong and very light.

It is thought that we may take between and 8,000 and 10,000 steps every day. It is no wonder our feet hurt. The majority of people do this every day without a problem. Some of us do it and carry on with the pain and do nothing about it. You don't have to spend each day or the end of your shift in pain. We can help. In short, orthotics is the process of making custom made inner soles that you place within your shoes or trainers.

What are Orthotics?

Orthotics are specially designed shoe inserts. We also make them flexible so that it does not feel like a brick is in your shoes. They help to restore the natural position of your foot. The type of orthotic we need depends on the type of foot we have, how the foot is changing position and what shoes we wear. By careful selection and design of the correct orthotic the foot is able to return to its natural position and function. This will prevent damaging changes in other joints, muscles and ligaments and reduce foot pain.

Each pair of Osteon orthotics come with a 10 year guarantee against any deformation or breakages providing you follow the accepted wear protocol and don't jump of a nearby mountain. Osteon orthotics are exceptionally shock absorbing, removing pressure and stress from painful areas in the foot and ankle. They promote the proper alignment of the feet, restore balance, improve sports performance and alleviate pain in the knee, hip and lower back.

Once you have been in for your orthotics fitting we will send your prescription to the laboratory where they will be specially made exactly to our specifications. The laboratory use very accurate laser cutting equipment to gain the most accurate measurements.

With your Osteon orthotics we will advise that you have treatment with an Osteon Physiotherapist, Osteopath, Sports Massage Therapists or Acupuncturist. This is vitally important as the once the orthotics are in place your body will start to adapt. This in the short term my cause a few aching muscles/joints as your body adapts to the changes. We are here to guide you through to full health.
